Volatility in the stock market, Sensex-Nifty lost early gains.

Stock Market Updates : Domestic stock markets seem to be a victim of volatility on Wednesday. The market opened today with a gain but in a short span of time they lost some early gains. Flat trading was seen in both the benchmark indices in the opening hour. In today’s opening, shares of Infosys, TCS, Hindustan Unilever and Titan registered gains.

In the opening, Sensex jumped 145.45 points to 52,734.16, Nifty rose 49.70 points to 15,822.45. Sensex managed to touch its intraday high of 52,912. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, the Sensex crossed the 53,000 mark for the first time. In the opening, 22 sectors of the Sensex were open in the green mark.

NSE’s 12 sector indexes were trading with momentum. The NSE Metal Index had gained 1 per cent. At the same time, auto, FMCG, consumer durables also gained. Power, utilities, telecom and industrial indices declined.

Asian markets are also showing a rise due to the rise in Wall Street on Tuesday. Japan’s Nikkei gained 0.1 per cent, Hong Seng 0.7 per cent, Taiwan’s index rose by 1 and Straits Times rose 0.2%.

If you take a look at yesterday’s opening, then the Sensex closed stable with a marginal 14 points gain. The index had gone above the 53,000 mark at one point of time, but the huge gains could not be sustained due to profit-booking by investors. According to traders, the fall in the exchange rate of the rupee also affected the sentiment. The Sensex finally closed at 52,588.71 with a marginal gain of 14.25 points, or 0.03 per cent. At the same time, Nifty also closed at 15,772.75 points with a slight gain of 26.25 points i.e. 0.17 points.
