Sensex-Nifty are trading at their record high.

Stock Market Updates : On Tuesday, the domestic stock markets opened making a new record. Shares of Reliance Industries, Infosys, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC and Tata Consultancy Services were up, due to which the Sensex opened at a historic high of 52,700 today. At the same time, Nifty has also opened above 15,800.

The Sensex was at the level of 52,803.18 in early trading at 10.39 in the morning. The index registered a rise of 251.65 i.e. 0.48%. During this Nifty was at the level of 15,884.45. The index had gained 72.60 points or 0.46%.

At 09:17, the Sensex had gained 196.08 points i.e. 0.37% and the index was trading at 52,747.61. At the same time, during this time Nifty was trading at the level of 15869.90 with a gain of 58 points i.e. 0.37%. In the opening, 1576 shares rose and 374 shares fell, while there was no change in 67 shares.

Market analysts believe that expectations of a pick-up in the economic recovery and gradual lifting of the coronavirus lockdown have improved investor sentiment.

Buying was visible in all sectors of the National Stock Exchange. The media index was leading the way with a gain of 1 per cent. Financial, FMCG, IT, PSU Bank, Private Bank and Realty indices had gained 0.5-1 per cent each. The Nifty Midcap 100 index gained 0.54 percent and the Smallcap 100 index gained 0.8 percent.

If we look at yesterday’s closing, Sensex and Nifty on Monday recovered from early losses and closed at their new all-time highs due to heavy buying in the shares of Reliance Industries. The Sensex closed at 52,551.53 with a gain of 76.77 points or 0.15 per cent. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at its new record level of 15,811.85 points with a gain of 12.50 points or 0.08 per cent.

Among the Sensex companies, the stock of Reliance Industries climbed 1.46 percent. Shares of Bajaj Finance, ONGC, Infosys, PowerGrid, L&T and IndusInd Bank were also gainers. On the other hand, Kotak Bank, HDFC, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Auto, NTPC, Maruti and HDFC Bank lost up to 1.51 per cent.
