Rajneesh Kumar said these things while addressing the 65th annual general meeting of the bank. During the bank’s AGM, Kumar also answered questions from the shareholders. On the issue of rights issue, he said that the government has a stake in the bank, in such a situation, the government will have to invest to bring the rights issue so that its stake does not matter. Apart from this, while talking about further plans of the bank, he said that SBI may soon get approval to raise capital of Rs 20,000 crore through equity.
