new Delhi. In order to strengthen the economic condition of the farmers and increase the employment resources for them, the government is running a variety of schemes. One of them is the Prime Minister Solar Panel Scheme. In this, farmers can earn strong profits by selling electricity to companies. Not only this, they can also get rent up to 4 lakh rupees by paying rent to their farm. So what is this plan and how can you take advantage of it?

What is PM solar panel scheme
In this scheme, farmers can hire one-third of their farmland to install solar panels. In return, private companies will rent them at Rs 1 lakh per acre. A contract will be prepared for this. After the completion of 25 years of the contract, the company will pay Rs 4 lakh per acre rent to the farmer instead of one lakh.

Benefits of the scheme
1. Under the solar panel scheme, private companies will give rent to farmers from 1 to 4 lakh rupees.

2. The private company will bear the entire cost of installing solar panels. For this, the farmer will not have to spend any money.

3.Solar panels shall be installed at a height of 3.5 meters from the ground. With this, farmers will be able to cultivate the rest of the land easily.

4. On giving one acre of space, farmers will get 1000 units of free electricity. Also, if excess power is generated, they can also sell it to the company or the government.

Increase profits by selling electricity
Apart from renting the fields for solar panels, farmers can also earn profits by selling electricity. For this, they can register themselves under the Kusum scheme. With this, you can install solar panels yourself and sell the electricity generated from it to private and government companies. Apart from ordinary farmers, such people can also take advantage of this scheme, whose land is barren or empty. Six acres of land is required to set up a one MW solar plant. With this, 13 lakh units of electricity can be produced.
