Government subsidy will be available in savings account
According to the Post Office Department (India Post), DBT benefits can also be taken in the Post Office Savings Account. For this, customers need to link the account with Aadhaar card. A column has been included in the Application / Purchase of Certificate form to link the Aadhaar card.
Old customers can also avail
The Post Office has released the form for application for linking / seeding and receiving DBT benefits into POSB account. Through this, account holders can connect their savings account with their Aadhaar. At the same time, account holders can submit their Aadhaar details to the respective post office branch for providing offline links.
