new Delhi. A life certificate in the bank is required as a proof of whether the pensioner is alive or not. So every year in November, it has to be deposited in a bank with its pension account. But this time due to Corona epidemic, the government has changed its duration from one to two months. In such a case, pensioners can deposit it by 31 December. The government has given another major relief for the pensioners, so that the pensioners do not face any problem. Now life certificate can be obtained in just 5 minutes from home. The Indian Post Office will help in this.
Postman will now come home and issue a life certificate under the new government announcement. For this, the elderly will not have to wander around. Indian Postal Payment Bank will provide this facility by reaching home. To take advantage of this, pensioners must contact the nearest postman via e-mail or phone and inform him. After which he will reach the concerned person’s home and issue a digital life certificate. It will be based on biometric process. It will take only 5 minutes. The applicant will have to pay a fee of Rs 70 to get a life certificate.
Which documents will be required
To get a life certificate, the applicant must have an Aadhaar card and identity certificate. The postman has to tell the applicant his 12 digit Aadhaar number. Apart from this, PPO number, mobile number will have to be given. As soon as you feed it, you will be issued a digital life certificate immediately. The good thing is that these certificates themselves will be updated in the department or bank concerned with the pension issuer.
