Targeting the young lot, Micromax unveiled its two ranges of smartphones: Canvas Mega E353 and Canvas Mega 4G Q417.
Available in black colour only, the Canvas Mega E353is on immediate availability. It can be purchased from the third party sellers online. However, the accessibility and colour availability of Canvas Mega 4G Q417 is still unknown.
With a price of Rs 7,999, Micromax’s Canvas Mega E353 is a dual-SIM phone with an Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It has a 5.5 inch HD display screen and a covering of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has 8 GB inbuilt storage and an expandable memory with a micro SD card. The processor has been combined with 1 GB RAM.
The Canvas Mega 4G Q417 provides dual-SIM services with a 5.5 inch HD display. Apart from the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, the phone has 3 GB RAM. With an inbuilt memory of 16 GB, it has the feature of expanding memory up to 32 GB through micro SD card.
Micromax Informatics CEO Vineet Taneja said, “Phablet market has grown exponentially in the last quarter with over 200 percent growth in the segment. With more than 70 percent of neo-users in the age group of 15-24 years extensively streaming videos on their smartphones; the growth of phablet market has been triggered exponentially.”
Besides, in this minimal offering, the smartphones have a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It has the conglomeration of best features available at lower price range. “At Micromax, we believe that large screen smartphones will surely address some major consumers’ pain points by providing users with a better viewing experience and more productivity on-the-go,” shared Vineet.
