Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of famous singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died Sunday at the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. Though an autopsy will be conducted to find the cause, family sources have confirmed the death of the actor-singer and claim the reason to be irreversible brain damage. The death news of the 22-year-old has shocked the entire film fraternity.
In a statement released on Sunday evening, the Houston family said, “Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
All this happened after Brown was found unresponsive in her bathtub at her home in Roswell, Georgia on January 31. Since then she had been fighting for her life and remained in a coma. Later, she had undergone surgery to replace her breathing tube. However, her condition only worsened and was later admitted to hospice. Brown died three years later her mother Whitney Houston was discovered dead in a bathtub in a hotel in Beverly Hills. Brown’s father Bobby Brown is emotionally devastated due to his daughter’s death.
The first person to be under suspicion is Brown’s boyfriend Nick Gordon. Nick was brought by Mr. Houston to her home when he was 12. He and Brown were raised together by Houston after divorcing Bobby Brown in 2007. Though Brown addressed Nick as her husband, the Houston family confirmed that the duo was not officially married. Surprisingly, Nick was not only barred from visiting Brown but also sued by Brown’s conservator for $10 million for physically and verbally abusing Brown. He also inappropriately withdrew $11,000 from Brown’s bank account while she was in a coma. Though Brown’s funeral is expected to be held in Atlanta, she will be buried near her mother, Whitney Houston, in New Jersey.
