The much awaited event of the year for harness racing enthusiasts, the Dan Patch Awards, is ready to come alive on this Sunday with the participation of many distinguished guests. This is called “Harness Racing’s Night of the Stars” as the organizers have planned to celebrate all the significant performers who have displayed outstanding performance during the year 2015. Standardbred horses in the United States, promising horsemen and horsewomen are the icons celebrated at this night.

Just like it happened over the past several years, all these prestigious awards are voted upon by an expertise panel that consists of The United States Harness Writers Association. This year, organizers expect about 400 enthusiastic participants in Ft. Lauderdale to witness this splendid occasion – unsurprisingly it is already sold-out!

This year, organizers have taken a step forward to add more glamour to the Dan Patch Awards by inviting Heather Vitale to co-host it. This is a real smart step forward for the sake of the popularity of this tremendous event, considering the popularity of Heather in the industry of harness racing. The glamour Heather would add to this remarkable event is quite predictable considering her endowments. Heather always makes sure to grab the attention of the audience with her sparkling and sharp approach blended with first-rate humor. Because of these very reasons, she has built a unique brand in the industry as “Harness Racing’s Firework”.

As an iconic television journalist, Heather has dominated the Standardbred horse racing industry for many years. Adding more value to her career, she hosts POST TIME – a half-hour program, which airs via CBS affiliate WBOC-TV in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. She has proven her enthusiasm, character and professionalism towards harness racing throughout this program since 1998. In addition to that, she is responsible for the success of the PA HARNESS WEEK, a weekly Comcast Philadelpha program, co-hosting with Steve Ross.

Serving her professionalism to the national level harness racing, she has been an active member of the ESPN2 broadcasting team during American Championship Harness Racing Series, 1997.

Heather will also be present at Isle Capri Pompano Park on Saturday to light up the occasion. Capri Pompano Park racetrack possesses a proud history older than 50 years, and Heather is the one and only woman so far to announce a race in this renowned track.

So, it is all about excitement, professionalism, celebration and prestige at the Dan Patch Awards 2016: Harness Racing’s Night of Starts with the esteemed participation of hundreds of racing enthusiasts, hosted by Heather Vitale.
