Share Market Today: Sensex-Nifty fell after flat opening, fall in metal and banking stocks

The sluggishness seen in the stock market today, Sensex-Nifty fell.

Stock Market Updates : The rise of the domestic stock market looks a bit flat on Tuesday. There is a flat opening in the market today. Both the benchmark indices opened on flat notes. Sectors saw a decline. Banking stocks have looked weak in the opening today. Today, there were mixed signals from the global markets, after which the market is not seeing much growth. However, both Sensex-Nifty remain close to their highest levels.

At 10.24 in the morning, the Sensex fell by 78.73 points or 0.15%. The index was at the level of  52,249.78. During this Nifty remained at the level of 15,714.10 and the index had lost 37.55 points or 0.24%.

In the opening at 9.16, the Sensex opened at the level of 52344.55 with a marginal gain of 16.04 points i.e. 0.03% and the Nifty rose 2.50 points, 0.02% to open at the level of 15754.20. After the opening, 1460 shares increased and 328 shares fell. No change was recorded in 67 shares.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 12 shares opened in the green. The S&P BSE Utility Index gained 1 per cent. IT, Power and FMCG indices were also trading higher. On the other hand, there was a fall in the metal, energy and banking indices. The BSE Midcap index gained 0.3 percent and the Smallcap index gained 0.4 percent.

If we take a look at yesterday’s closing, then on Monday, the Sensex reached its new record level with a jump of 228 points. The 30-share Sensex of BSE, after opening with a sluggish trend, finally closed at 52,328.51 points with a gain of 228.46 points or 0.44 per cent. Nifty closed at a new record of 15,751.65, up 81.40 points or 0.52 percent.
