Stock Market Updates : Historical highs have been recorded in the index Nifty of the National Stock Exchange on Monday amid volatility in the domestic stock markets. The index has touched its new record by going above 15,500. However, a lot of volatility is being seen in the Sensex index of Bombay Stock Exchange today. There was a decline in the index in the opening, but the Sensex registered a jump in the opening hours.

At 10.35 in the morning, the Sensex was trading at the level of 51,685.91 with a gain of 263.03 points i.e. 0.51%. During this Nifty was at the level of 15,502.05. The index registered a gain of 66.40 points i.e. 0.43%.
In the opening, the Sensex fell over 185 points due to decline in big stocks like HDFC, Infosys, TCS and Reliance amid a weak trend in Asian markets. During this, the Sensex was trading at 51,233.36, down 189.52 points or 0.37 percent, while the Nifty fell 43.20 points or 0.28 percent to 15,392.45. During this, 1492 shares increased, 1118 shares decreased and 118 shares did not change,
The biggest fall of five percent in the Sensex was in M&M. Apart from this, Infosys, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, L&T, NTPC and HCL Tech were also losses. On the other hand, ITC, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank were trading in the green.
Meanwhile, international oil benchmark Brent crude was trading 0.41 percent higher at $69.00 per barrel.
