Sensex on Record High: Sensex touched 57,000 mark.

There is a tremendous rally going on in the domestic stock markets. In this entire year so far, both the benchmark indices (Sensex-Nifty) have touched new highs continuously. The positive outlook on economic recovery and the pace of covid vaccination has given momentum to the market. The Sensex, the index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, had reached the level of 50,000 for the first time earlier this year. And in the next seven months itself, it has crossed the level of 57,000. On Tuesday i.e. 31st August, 2021 Sensex hits 57,000 level has been reached. Nifty is also very close to the figure of 17,000 for the first time.

In today’s opening, the Sensex opened at the level of 57017.13 with a gain of 127.37 points i.e. 0.22%. At the same time, the Nifty gained 39.20 points i.e. 0.23% and the index was at the level of 16,970.20.

Sensex-Nifty increased by how much this year, why did it rise?

If we look at the overall, this year the Sensex has registered a total gain of 19 per cent. At the same time, Nifty has gained 21 percent this year. The increasing number of retail investors is also believed to be a reason behind this boom of the market. The IPO market is buzzing this year. Many companies made news by entering the IPO market and in the lockdown, a large number of people joined to invest in the stock market, which led to a boom in the market.

January 21, 2021- The Sensex crossed the 50,000 mark for the first time during the day’s trading.
February 3, 2021- Sensex closed above 50,000 mark for the first time.
February 5, 2021- During the day’s trading, the Sensex crossed the 51,000 mark.
February 8, 2021- Sensex closed above 51,000 mark for the first time.
February 15, 2021- Sensex crosses 52,000 mark.
June 22, 2021- The Sensex crossed the 53,000 mark for the first time during the day’s trading.
July 7, 2021- Sensex closed above 53,000 mark for the first time.
August 4, 2021- The index crossed the 54,000 mark for the first time during the day’s trading.
August 13, 2021- It crossed the 55,000 mark for the first time and closed above this level for the first time.
August 27, 2021- The Sensex closed above the 56,000 mark for the first time.
August 31, 2021- The Sensex touched the 57,000 mark in the opening today itself.

Let us tell you that till the last trading session, the wealth of investors has increased by Rs 3.56 lakh crore in the stock market. The market capitalization of all the companies listed on BSE has reached a record Rs 247.30 lakh crore.
