Reliance Jio, the telecom company of the country’s richest industrialist Mukesh Ambani, is set to introduce indigenous 5G technology in international markets. The company gave its information in a release. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani was quoted as saying that Reliance Jio is ready to roll out its indigenous 5G technology in India as well as worldwide markets. Ambani said that 5G technology will be made available at affordable prices to the world.
Reliance Jio successfully tested its 5G technology in the US. The trial of 5G has not started in India yet, because the spectrum required for this is not yet available. The auction of spectrum will be held in March. The company said that soon 5G technology will be tested in India too. Ambani called for 2G free India and said that Jio is committed to making India 2G free. Every Indian has the right to own an affordable smartphone and participate in the digital and data revolution. Mukesh Ambani has already announced the introduction of 5G service in the second half of 2021. The company’s net profit rose 15.5 percent to Rs 3,489 crore in the December quarter. By the end of December 2020, a total of 41.8 crore subscribers were connected to Reliance Jio Network.
