Pooja Mishra files 100-crore defamation case against Sunny Leone

Is this just another round of publicity stunt by Pooja Mishra?
A 100-crore defamation suit has been filed by model Pooja Mishra against actress Sunny Leone in the Bombay High Court. Pooja has levied charges against Sunny for making statements that not only tarnished her public image but caused her a loss of Rs 70 lakhs.

Due to the absence of the petitioner in the court, Justice Naresh Patil has postponed the case and assigned a date post vacation in June.

In the petition, Pooja has mentioned about the time when she had participated in the fifth season of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. She claimed that Sunny Leone, who had entered the show later, had given a few statements in the media that defamed Pooja, and Sunny did all this out of jealousy towards her.
To save her image in the public eye, Pooja, during this period, had to break “her fixed deposits and withdraw her savings, thereby suffering losses to the tune of Rs 70 lakhs”, as mentioned by the PTI. Pooja has requested the court to pursue the case against Sunny under IPC sections 500 (defamation) read with 120(b) (conspiracy).

It’s indeed a weird mayhem as the allegations have been raised by Pooja after five years of her participation in ‘Bigg Boss 5′. She remained in the house for eight weeks. What kept her waiting for so long if she was highly disappointed with Sunny Leone’s statements? No wonder, it appears to be a publicity gimmick by Pooja, who is one of the most controversial celebrities. The model has been in the limelight for various cases in the past as well.
