PMKVY: Government will give training to drop out students and unemployed for employment, this is how they can avail

new Delhi. In order to make the drop out students and unemployed youth self-reliant, the government is running Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). In this, the skills of employment are taught to the youth according to their ability. So that they can join the industry and do self-employment. The students who have dropped out in between will get the maximum benefit of this scheme. Such people are given skill training by the government. After successful implementation of the two phases, now the government is going to start its third phase soon. It will focus on strengthening district level skill committees.

In this connection, Skill Development Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey told during a program that emphasis will be laid on designing skill courses according to local needs. So that more and more people can benefit. It aims to train 10 million people by 2020. According to media reports, till November 11, more than 69 lakh people have been trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. The objective of this scheme is to provide training to the youth of the country in industries, so that they can get employment. The good thing is that the beneficiary will not have to pay any kind of fee to get this training. It will be provided free of cost by the government.

Benefits of the scheme
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is run by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. In this, young educated or drop out youth from school are trained in food processing, furniture and fittings and other technical fields including handicroft. On completion of the course, about 8 thousand rupees are also given to the beneficiary by the government as prize money. In this, the applicant does not have to pay any fees. After training, the government also helps the applicant to get job for financial assistance. Employment fairs are organized for this.
