Kolkata and Mumbai have seen an increase of 23 paise per liter. After this, petrol prices in both metros have gone up to Rs 93.72 and Rs 99.94 per liter respectively. On the other hand, after the increase of 22 paise per liter in Chennai, the price has gone up to Rs 95.28 per liter.
Increase in the price of diesel
According to information received from IOCL, the price of diesel has increased from 28 paise to 30 paise per liter in all the four metros of the country. There has been an increase of 29 paise per liter in Delhi, the capital of the country. After this, the price of diesel here was Rs 84.61 per liter. There has been an increase of 30 paise per liter in Kolkata and Mumbai. After this, the price of diesel in both metros has been Rs 87.30 and Rs 91.87 per liter respectively. Whereas after the increase of 28 paise per liter in Chennai, the price has been increased to Rs 89.39 per liter.
How expensive petrol and diesel became in May
In the month of May, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by more than Rs 4 per liter. First of all, petrol has seen an increase of Rs 3.28 per liter in Delhi, Rs 3.10 in Kolkata, Rs 3.11 in Mumbai and Rs 2.88 per liter in Chennai. Whereas diesel has seen a lot of increase.
