The capital of the country has seen an increase of 23 paise per liter. After which the price has been increased to Rs 93.44 per liter. Kolkata and Mumbai have seen an increase of 22 paise per liter. After this, petrol prices in both metros have gone up to Rs 93.49 and Rs 99.71 per liter respectively. On the other hand, after the increase of 20 paise per liter in Chennai, the price has gone up to Rs 95.06 per liter.
Increase in the price of diesel
According to information received from IOCL, the price of diesel has increased from 24 paise to 27 paise per liter in all the four metros of the country. The country’s capital Delhi and Kolkata have increased by 25 paise per liter. After this, the price of diesel in both metros has been increased to Rs 84.32 and Rs 87.16 per liter respectively. While Mumbai has increased by 27 paise and Chennai by 24 paise per liter, after which the price has been increased to Rs 91.57 and Rs 89.11 per liter.
How expensive petrol and diesel became in May
In the month of May, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by more than Rs 3.75 per liter. First of all, petrol has seen an increase of Rs 3.04 per liter in Delhi, Rs 2.87 in Kolkata, Rs 2.88 in Mumbai and Rs 2.66 per liter in Chennai. Whereas diesel has seen a lot of increase. Diesel has increased by Rs 3.59 in Delhi, Rs 3.55 in Kolkata, Rs 3.76 in Mumbai and Rs 3.36 per liter in Chennai.
