Before the launch of the new portal, the Income Tax Department had also put on hold the process of return filing on the old portal (https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in) from June 1 to 6. It has also been said in the news that after the launch of the new e-filing portal, taxpayers will be able to file tax returns from mobile as well. They already used to get information about salary, savings etc. on the old portal, apart from saving on the new portal, any kind of dividend (dividend), TDS and other types of information will also be already filled in the form. This will make it easier for salaried and pensioners to file income tax returns. Businessmen will also get many types of new information pre-filled in the return as compared to earlier.

However, many chartered accountants and income tax experts say that after the new portal comes, it will be known only after seeing the user’s feedback that how many facilities it will increase. Regarding the call center, he says that it would be great if this facility is available 24/7. Nevertheless, experts say that if the salaried does not already give information about his savings or makes changes in it, then some additional information will have to be entered on the portal while filling ITR.
