Live Blog: Sasikala Convicted in DA Case for Four Years
New Delhi: Supreme Court will announce its verdict on the Sasikala’s disproportionate asset case today at 10:30 am. All the eye are over the verdict as this could be the game changer in Tamilnadu. Tamilnadu is facing the power issue over forming the government. Tamilnadu is facing this from sometime after the death of J Jayalalitha. The Issue got worse after Paneerselvam did a press conference and said that he was forced to resign from CM of Tamilnadu. After which AIADMK has split in two fractions of supporter one with Sasikala and other with O Pannerselvam.
The governor was asked to assess the situation of Tamilnadu assembly and acknowledge who can form the government. Meanwhile, its seems governor is also waiting for the verdict as it would be easy. Both sasikala and O Panneerselvam are claiming the majority. The trial court had convicted Jayalalitha and Sasikala for four sentenced. Later the Karnataka High Court reversed the verdict, and Karnataka Government appealed against the decision in the top court.
