Khadi masks will be sold worldwide including Dubai, America, Mauritius, available in different colors for men and women
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has said that it will explore possibilities of exporting cotton and silk masks after the Ministry of Commerce lifted the ban on export of non-medical and surgical use masks. An official statement said that KVIC plans to supply Khadi face masks in Dubai, the US, Mauritius and several European and Middle Eastern countries, and more. The commission plans to sell khadi masks through embassies in these countries.
Available in two colors for men and many colors for women
The statement said that the commission plans to sell khadi masks through embassies in these countries. Keeping in mind the huge demand for face masks during the corona virus epidemic, KVIC has developed two-level and three-level cotton and silk face masks. These masks are available in two colors for men and many colors for women. KVIC has so far received contracts to supply eight lakh masks. Out of this, more than six lakh masks have been supplied.

The Commission has received contracts from Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister’s Office, Central Government Ministries, Jammu and Kashmir Administration and general public through e-mail. KVIC chairman Vinay Kumar Saxena said that the export of Khadi masks would increase production and eventually create massive employment opportunities for artisans in India.
