The pace of economic activity in the country after the lockdown has been accompanied by an upward trend in GST revenue collection and a record GST revenue of Rs 123902 crore has been collected in March this year so far. GST revenue collection for the sixth consecutive month in March exceeded one lakh crore rupees. Let us also tell you how much money the government earned. GST revenue in March 2021 is 27% more than the revenue collected in the same month last year.

How much money in which item
The revenue collected in March 2021 includes CGST of Rs 22,973 crore, SGST of Rs 29,329 crore, IGST of Rs 62,842 crore and compensation of Rs 8,757 crore as per GST collection data released here today by the Finance Ministry. IGST includes taxes of Rs 31,097 crore and indemnity cess of Rs 660 crore collected on imported goods. Of the IGST revenue, the government has transferred Rs 21,879 crore to CGST and Rs 17,230 crore to SGST. The government has made ad-hoc payment of 28 thousand crore rupees to the states and union territories.
