Gold-Silver Price Updates: After the softening of the prices of gold on Wednesday, there was a surge in gold and silver on Thursday. Gold rose by Rs 159, after which the price of gold in the bullion market of Delhi has come down to 46,301 per 10 grams. In its last session, gold had closed at Rs 46,142 per gram.
Silver prices also saw a jump of 206 rupees. The price of silver was Rs 67,168 per kilogram. Silver had closed at 66,962 per kg in the previous session.
On the other hand, speculators bought fresh deals due to the strong demand for gold, due to which gold rose by Rs 272 to Rs 46,880 per 10 grams in futures trade on Thursday. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of delivery gold futures rose by Rs 272, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 46,880 per 10 grams in the month of June. It traded for 11,629 lots.
At the same time, silver futures prices have also increased. Due to strong spot demand, traders increased the size of their deals, causing silver futures to rise by Rs 471 to Rs 68,109 per kg in the futures market on Thursday.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May rose by Rs 471, or 0.7 per cent to Rs 68,109 per kg, with a turnover of 9,258 lots.
