Deepika Padukone to Make Her Hollywood Debut opposite Vin Diesel?

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s recent Facebook post hugging a man resembling Vin Diesel and a backdrop of action movie xXx has created a stir. She simply posted the photo on Friday with a man facing his back to the camera and wrote, “Vin Diesel.”

Though no official statement has been released, if speculations are to be believed, then Deepika has been signed as the female lead opposite Vin Diesel for xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage is the third installment of the action film xXx directed by Rob Cohen. The first installment of the series was released in 2002. Though it didn’t garner good reviews from the critics, it was a box-office hit. The second part, XXX: State of the Union, was released in 2005.  D.J. Caruso will be directing xXx 3.

Reportedly, the actress was also approached for Fast and Furious 7, but unfortunately, she had to let it go as she already had her dates assigned for Happy New Year in 2014.

With her film Tamasha featuring Ranbir Kapoor released last week, the actress is now gearing up to promote Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani featuring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.

If this turns out to be true, then Deepika would be entering the league of Bollywood celebrities venturing into Hollywood. Currently, this list includes celebrities like Irrfan Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Tabu, Om Puri and Priyanka Chopra.
